well, the W can now whistle (seriously!) and has learned (from his cousins) how to say... 'igagopa-y' translation: i gotta go potty.  he has no idea what it means other than that it happens in the bathroom.  he'll say it and then walk into the bathroom and stand there.  crazy!  just thought i'd share

.... oh, and in other news... i was able to find a 'music in film' class to swap for the dance appreciation class.  whew, that was a close one.  i'm sure you're all just as relieved as i am... well maybe not but whatever

Currently Listening: The Fall of Ideals

i'm a maverick! (and sorry sarah, no wes pics yet)

but you knew that right?

this fall marks the beginning of the end as far as my degree is concerned.  after a 7 year break i'm finally going back to finish.  (only 73 credit hrs to go... or in otw, at least 3yrs given i have a full time job and family)  i'm super stoked about it, but also freakin' nervous!  esp. since i have to take a jr level phil class this semester because i need it to graduate and it won't be offered again until fall 2009.  that class would be 'renaissance and early modern phil.'  yeah and it's taught by nussbaum who i'm told is hardcore... woo-hoo.  so yeah, that and american lit. and (get this) dance appreciation!  yeah that's right, dance appreciation.  let me explain... the phil class that i HAVE to take is 2-3:20 T-Th obviously every thing else has to fit around that.  i still need to take 'elementary math concepts' (recommended for liberal arts majors like myself who suck at math) and geology II.  i'm saving those for next semester... but i also have to take a fine arts elective.  i'm certainly not going to take a hard one and music and art appreciation were not offered at convenient times around the phil class... sooooo here i come dance appreciation!  (now where did i put my tutu?)

for anyone who cares i'm seeking a pre-professional (probably pre-theology) philosophy degree at UTArlington (in case you didn't get the 'i'm a maverick' thing).  which means i have to write a thesis and have a minor, which will probably be sociology or possibly psychology since i find those fascinating as well. so in a few years (hopefully i'll graduate by the time i'm 31 --2011) then, on to get my theology degree or possibly go all the way w/ the philosophy thing... but that means doctorate and i'm not ready to think about that right now.

on another note: sorry sarah, apparently i need a new battery for my camera and i kept forgetting to get one this weekend... i promise i'll have some new wes pics up by next mon.
